Bonus: Found at the Houseofleaves.com discussion board: Footnote 10 - although fictional. The word "Hapax" (under the name of the editor Eddie Hapax) means a previously non-existant word, or word that exists only once in the lexique of a language. The most famous being the "ptyx" in Mallarme's "Un coup de des". a self-mocking reference to the fallacy of the footnote itself.

My absence is excused by two factors: massive change in my personal life, and inability to hold this project steadily. I love researching it, but it bears a weight that I cannot maintain for long periods of time at once. So, pick a little, talk a little.

Personal journal now found at [info]meghany.
